Product and Sales Training Curriculum Example

Overview: Below are several excerpts from a curriculum I developed for newly hired lawn care technicians at a lawn care company.

 

Business needs met by this training solution: For the Sales module, the lawn care technicians needed to learn how to:

  • Identify weeds commonly found in North Carolina lawns.

  • Differentiate the products packages and add-on services.

  • Provide customer service.

  • Approach customers to offer new services.

  • Identify customer needs.

  • Conduct sales conversations.

  • Close sales.

Project background: Top Lawn Care technicians needed an overview of the three lawn packages.

Project background: Top Lawn Care Technicians Supervisors needed a checklist to check Lawn Technicians on their ability to follow proper procedures for inspecting a service truck, loading chemicals, and adhering to safety standards.​​​​​

Storyline module: 360° Image - How to Identify and Treat Common Weeds​

 

Project background: Top Lawn Care requested an overview of the eight most common weeds and how to treat them.

​​

Course features: This training module incorporates:

  • An attention-grabbing introduction video that includes a WIIFM and an overview of the two categories of weeds and how to treat them. 

  • Images and definitions of the eight most common weeds found in lawns.

  • A 360° image in Storyline.

  • Knowledge check questions with feedback to check participant understanding.

  • Reminder of the basic steps along with an explanation of how to successfully complete the step.
